Argo is a 2012 political drama thriller film directed by Ben Affleck and written by Chris Terrio and Joshuah Bearman.
The film reports the events which took place in Teheran, Iran during the 1979 hostage crisis.
Then, the Canadian and U.S. gouvernaments came together in order to rescue six U.S. service members who had escaped the hostage-taking from the American embassy in Iran.
The best solution seamed to be to convince the Iran gouvernament that those hostages were members of a film crew who were scouting the area for a movie called Argo. Until their released they found shelter at a canadian ambasador.
