Backwards follows the life story of Abigail Brooks. She has spent her best years trying to win an Olympic rowing medal.
In her attempt to achieve that she sacrificed friendship, love and family. However she missed two opportunities and, full of disappointment she returns to her childhood’s place.
After moving back with her mother she gets a job as a coach at Union High School. There she reconnects with her old boyfriend, Geoff and finds pleasure and fun while training the rowing team.
