Cosmopolis is a 2012 drama film directed and written by David Cronenberg. Cosmopolis has its story based on the novel of Don DeLillo.
Cosmopolis follows the trip of Eric Packer, a 28 year old billionaire asset manager. He has the same habit to ride slowly across Manhattan in his limousine.
He uses his limousine as his office while on his way to his favorite barber despite the roadblock. The traffic jam was caused by the visit of the U.S. President and by a funeral of a famous musician.
Cosmopolis shows how he conducts all his meetings from his car, including those with his newly wife. She refuses to have sex with him, and so he gets other women. Slowly he deepen in a self-destruction stage.
