Joyful Noise follows the story of Vi Rose Hill, mother of two teens. After the death of choir director, she takes the control.
The director`s widow, G. Sparrow, believes she should have been given the position. Also, budget problems threaten to close down the choir.
In the end, the two women overcome their differences and steer the choir toward a slot in the annual national Joyful Noise choir competition.
