Melancholia is an 2011 disaster drama film written and directed by Lars von Trier.
Everything starts with the destruction of Earth and a jump back in time. The story is about two sisters, who become increasingly more distant from each other.
Justine and Michael are getting married in the first part of the Melancholia. She becomes melancholic, which makes her stay calm when the Earth is threatened by a collision with another planet.
Her sister becomes fearful of what is to come. This is a movie with an unhappy ending.
