Sinister is a 2012 crime horror thriller directed by Scott Derrickson. Sinister has a screenplay written by Derrickson and C. Robert Cargill.
Sinister tells the story of a true crime novelist, Ellison Oswalt. He moves with his family in a new house to research the murder of a family but discovers the tragedy of six families expanded on more than 40 years.
Sinister follows event happening once he starts his investigations after he finds in the attic a footage of the family who lived in the house nine months prior.
But thing get complicated when he finds himself and his family in danger of suffering the same destiny. A supernatural pagan entity known as Bagul is responsible for the tragic events. And now his family is chased by it.
