The Art of Getting By is a 2011 romantic comedy film starring Emma Roberts and Alicia Silverstone. It is the first feature by writer director Gavin Wiesen.
The story centers around a young student with a bad attitude towards George who forms an unexpected friendship with a girl he has a crush on, Sally.
George has made it all the way to his senior year without ever having done a real day of work. Sally is a popular but complicated girl who recognizes in him a kindred spirit.
Rita Wilson and Sam Robards will appear as Highmore`s mother and stepfather respectively.
