The Descendants is a 2011 comedy drama directed by Alexander Payne which also wrote the screenplay with Nat Faxon, based on the novel by Kaui Hart Hemmings.
The Descendants action is set in Hawaii. Matt King is a powerful land baron. His wife suffers a boating accident.
She slips into a coma. Very affected by the drama of the family, he tries to re connect with his two beautiful daughters.
After he discover that his wife had an affair, Matt is forced to re examine his past and think about his future.
