The Philly Kid is a 2012 drama action adventure directed by Jason Connery. The Philly Kid was made after a script written by Adam Mervis.
The Philly Kid tells the story of Dillon McCabe, a former inmate released after serving a ten year conviction for killing a cop. He returns in Baton Rouge neighborhood but doesn’t get his life in order just yet.
His best friend gets in trouble with a vicious loan shark and turns to Dillon to get the money he needs to escape. To make the money he needs Dillon decides to return into the fighting pit.
The Philly Kid rises as a successful martial arts fighter but this only gets him more trouble. After few triumphs he discovers the hardest thing he must do: to lose.
