The Pirates Band of Misfits is an 2012 British/American 3-D stop-motion animated film. It is being directed by Peter Lord and co-directed by Jeff Newitt. The film is based on Gideon Defoe`s book.
In The Pirates Band of Misfits, Hugh Grant stars in his first animated role as the bearded Pirate Captain. With a rag-tag crew at his side, the Captain has one dream: to beat his rivals to the much coveted Pirate Of The Year Award.
It`s a quest that takes our heroes from the shores of exotic Blood Island to the foggy streets of Victorian London. They never lose sight of what a pirate loves best: adventure!
