Aidan Quinn is an Irish American actor. He was born in Chicago, Illinois to Irish parents. Aidan Quinn was raised as a Roman Catholic in Chicago and Rockford, as well as in Dublin and Birr. His father was a professor in literature and his mother was a homemaker.

Aidan Quinn has three brothers and a sister. He got his start in the Chicago theater at age 19. He trained at the Piven Theatre Workshop. Aidan Quinn is married to the actress Elizabeth Bracco. They have two daughters, one diagnosed with autism. The other appears as a ghost in the supernatural love story The Eclipse.
