Al Pacino is an American film and stage actor and director. Al Pacino is famed for playing in The Godfather trilogy and in Scarface. Al Pacino was born to Italian American parents. When he was two, his mother moved to the South Bronx near the Bronx Zoo. His father moved to Covina, California.
Al attended the School of Performing Arts in New York. During his teenage years, aimed to become a baseball player. Al Pacino flunked nearly all of his classes except English. He started smoking at age nine. His two closest friends died young. Growing up in a deprived area, he got into occasional fights.
Al Pacino acted in basement plays in New York`s theatrical underground. He then joined the Herbert Berghof Studio. During this period, Al Pacino was frequently unemployed and homeless. In 1962, his mother died. The following year, his grandfather, also died.
