Alan Tudyk is an American actor. Alan Tudyk is known for his roles as Simon in the comedy Death at a Funeral, and Steve the Pirate in DodgeBall. Alan Tudyk was born in El Paso, Texas, the son of Betty and Timothy.

Alan Tudyk was raised in Texas, and attended Plano Senior High School. He studied drama at the Methodist-affiliated Lon Morris College in Jacksonville. In college, he played Beaver Smith in theater production of Billy the Kid. In 1993 he entered Juilliard.
