Anna Friel is an English actress. Anna Friel rose to fame in the UK as Beth Jordache on the soap Brookside, and has had a successful career since. She is the daughter of Julie and Des. She has a brother, Michael,who starred in Hovis television adverts.

Anna Friel attended Crompton House Church of England High School. She then attended Holy Cross College in Bury. She became interested in acting at an early age.
