Treat Williams is an Screen Actors Guild Award nominated American actor. Treat Williams has appeared on film, stage and television. From 2002 to 2006, he was the star of the television series Everwood. Williams was born in Norwalk, Connecticut, the son of Marion, an antiques dealer, and Richard Norman Williams, a corporate executive.
He was named after his ancestor, Richard Treat an early New England settler and a Patentee of the Royal Charter of Connecticut, 1662. This name earned him some notoriety when classmates developed nicknames for Williams such as: Sweet Treat and Big Meat Treat.
These reemerged later when he was featured in Playgirl magazine. He graduated from the Kent School in Connecticut and Franklin and Marshall College. Treat Williams lives with his wife Pam Van Sant and two children in Utah where Everwood was shot. The family also has homes in New York City and Manchester, Vermont.
