Twentieth Century Fox Film distribution executive is missing. Gavin Smith disappearance remains a mystery even now, at almost a month and a half from the time he went on missing.
Gavin Smith is 57 years old and was last seen driving his car, a black 2000 Mercedes 420E sedan with tinted windows and a roof rack, near his home in West Hills in the San Fernando Valley. He’d just returned from the National Association of Theatre Owners convention in Las Vegas.
The odds for him to be found alive are very small. However the family desires at least to get the body so that they can make a proper funeral service. For information regarding his disappearance they offer a $20.000 reward.
Although starting May 9th the police have changed the case’s status from missing person’s probe to criminal homicide investigation, authorities still go on with the searches.
Homicide detectives and a SWAT team revisited the residence from West Hills in San Fernando Valley. This time they remained inside the house for more than five hours. They took some boxes and a computer. Investigators also towed a black SUV. Despite officials efforts no arrests were made.
Gavin Smith is married to Lisa Smith and has fathered three children. The entire family established in West Hills area of the Valley.
